Mini Marbling

  • Minnesota Center for Book Arts 1011 South Washington Avenue #100 Minneapolis, MN, 55415 United States (map)

Saturday, January 25; 10am–4pm CT

Honey, I shrunk the marbling combs! Experience the patterns and designs you know and love, but now at a smaller scale.

Work with combs much smaller than the average nonpareil comb—all the way down to 1/16 of an inch between tines. Watch how patterns you've been doing for years shine in a new light when reduced to one fourth the size.

In this in-person workshop, we'll start by introducing participants to correct handling of the smaller combs, demonstrate some common patterns, and then participants will be free to experiment and explore new designs with the small combs.

Level: Intermediate. Introduction to Marbling or other introductory marbling experience is required to register for this patterns-heavy workshop.
Certificate: 6 hours, Category B or D
