Introduction to Marbling: February

Experience the magic of marbling firsthand with this in-person workshop!

Learn the basic process of paper marbling with acrylics, including recipes for the various components of the process. Make four basic patterns (stones, moire/waved, git-gel, and nonpareil), explore seasonal color palettes, and take home your own marbled papers ready to be used in bookbinding and other arts. Participants will leave the workshop with the confidence to work independently at MCBA's Marbling Labs.

Wear clothes that can get dirty and non-slip, supportive, water-resistant shoes (i.e., rubber boots, garden clogs, etc.). 

Level: Beginner. All skill levels are welcome. 
Certificate: 6 hours, Category A or D

$25 materials fee

Scholarships are available for individuals facing adversity as it relates to identity, income/wealth, and lack of access to arts resources. The Pay-It-Forward rate (tuition, plus 50%) supports MCBA’s efforts to make scholarships available. We leave it to you to choose the rate that is meaningful to you based on your income, wealth, and privilege status. MCBA members receive a 10% discount on tuition.
