Paper Wreaths

Wednesday, December 17; 7–9pm CT

In this virtual workshop, make wreaths out of old books!

Have you ever wanted to incorporate your love for books into your home or holiday decor? Learn how to pull apart an old book and use the pages to make something new. Each participant will need to bring an old book with 55+ pages at roughly 5 x 8 inches (the most common size of old hardcover books). I recommend music, dictionaries, or books with a lot of black and white illustrations on the printed page for the best results. Discussion will include a variety of ways to decorate the sculptural books and how to use them as a centerpiece, wall, or door decor. Come away with the skills to make a bookish decoration to brighten your home or workplace this winter, or to gift to friends and family.

Level: Beginner. All skill levels are welcome.
Certificate: 2 hours, Category D
