New Arrivals: MCBA’s Artist Collective

New Arrivals features recent work by MCBA’s Artist Collective, consisting of established and emerging local artists working within the breadth of book arts, a group of art forms that range from traditional skills such as papermaking, letterpress printing, and bookbinding, to new methods of artmaking inspired by the form and function of books.

We define the book as a “contained narrative,” meaning book artists have limitless possibilities when it comes to finding homes for their stories. The New Arrivals exhibition displays this diversity and captures the expressive range of the book arts.
