This zine features a double issue of what started as an experiment—to fill 16 pages of 2.5 inch squares in one sitting on one subject.
The first half, IF I COULD TELL MY THEN SELF SOMETHING NOW or “before” addresses the non-linear process of healing in dealing with grief and growing up and public displays of emotion. It is hand drawn in black ink and digitally printed.
The second half, BIG LOVE BE BLESSED or “after” is about love, friendship and new romance, illustrated with full color collage, digitally printed.
Each issue is hand bound with a special do-si-do binding, so each half can be read separately.
Letterpress printed covers with digitally printed insides.

Hope Amico (they/she) is a collage artist, trained letterpress printer, and former community bike shop volunteer, currently living and working in Portland, OR. They are the force behind Gutwrench Press, a letterpress shop dedicated to better correspondence and connection through the Keep Writing postcard project, unique zines exploring hometowns, and classes designed to help develop a creative practice in your everyday life. They host a weekly online meet-up and continues the monthly interactive postcard subscription they started in 2008.
