Courtney (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary creative whose art forms include writing/poetry, storytelling, illustration, and textile art. Courtney had poetry featured in Minerva Zine from 2014-2016, Silver Birch Press in 2016, and was the 2017 Featured poet for the Minnesota Conference On Justice Involved Women and Girls. They were the curator of the 2016 In Plain Sight street theater performance in Duluth, Minnesota. Most recently, Courtney self-published a mini book called “Give the Gays Their Flowers”, which features illustrations, narrative, poetry, and more. They also have a poem and block print illustration in the upcoming Loud & Queer Zine. Outside of artistic creative work, Courtney is an herbalist and farmer. Growing medicinal plants and raising chickens on the North Shore of Lake Superior.
