Rapture Artist's Book by Sarah Stengle

$800.00

The idea for Rapture began when my telephone broke and I was on hold with Verizon for an infuriating ‘eternity’. I was left with no service for two weeks. Waiting is one of my least favorite things to do. Theidea of waiting interminably for a reward - in my case only for prosaic cell phone service; but for some people, eternal celestial bliss. This concept of extensive waiting and sustaining hope inspired this book. The paper is a ‘heavenly’ light blue. The intense repetition of the phrase ‘just wait’ underscores the patience and absurdity involved in waiting interminably for anything.” -Sarah Stengle
