Kate Battle
Kate Battle (she/her) is a teaching artist from Montreal, Canada. For the last 20 years, Kate has taught pop-up making, bookmaking, and mail art in elementary schools through the Quebec’s Artists in Schools program. She has also taught in the US, Mexico, and Japan. Kate has always been equally fascinated by book arts and languages and these two interests often come together in her artist’s books. Kate studied Fine Arts and Languages at McGill (BA) and Concordia Universities. She studied with Master Bookbinder Louise Genest and is mentored by UK book artist and educator Paul Johnson.
