Digital Zine Design

Tuesday, March 10; 5–8pm CT

This virtual workshop, design zines digitally using free tools such as Google Docs, Spectrolite, and Affinity.

Learn where to find free, copyright-free images online and how to gather them for use in digital zines. Then, using Google Docs and Spectrolite, we will design, impose, and prepare a simple pamphlet zine for printing. Finally, we’ll use Affinity, a free layout software, to create one-page zines and export them for printing. Participants will have time to practice these skills, ask for guidance on using design tools, and share their work-in-progress to get feedback from other participants.

Level: Beginner. All skill levels are welcome.
Certificate: 3 hours, Category B or D
