A Daughter's Name Artist's Book by Erika Rier
“A Daughter’s Name is an art comic which is made using a unique construction method that means every page is an uninterrupted sheet of paper with a fold in the middle, allowing for vast, complicated illustrations. The story consists of two meditations upon chronic illness, misogyny, supporting a loved one through mental illness, and what it means to be a woman trying to balance different parts of her life. The book consists of some hand-cut pages, fold-outs, and a mini book nestled inside the larger book.” -Erika Rier
