Egg Press is a letterpress greeting card company, founded and owned by designer Tess Darrow. They've been making our signature cheeky and thoughtful greeting cards since 1999. They're a tiny-but-mighty team of 9 that handles everything from design to fulfillment, right here in our Portland, Oregon studio. Egg Press believes in the power of written communication. They believe in thick, luxurious paper, and the unique impression that only letterpress produces. Find a penpal, write to your mom, be a snob about your stamps….revel in your stationery!
Each and every Egg Press card is letterpress printed on their fleet of mid-century Heidelberg printing presses. Every color is a hand-mixed ink that's been applied to a raised printing plate; colors are printed one at a time. The action of printing is what gives letterpress cards their signature textured deboss feeling. Feel for the difference!
