In the Middle or the Beginning or Perhaps it was the End Artist's Book by Erika Rier

$18.00

“This zine started as a concept of a form. A tall, narrow zine filled with fold out pages. Then I decided the centerfold would be a battle scene and I developed the illustrated narrative from that central panel.

In the Middle or the Beginning or Perhaps it was the End’ is an illustrated zine which follows a group of girls who set out on a journey only to find themselves confronted by another group of hostile girls. There is a battle. There are losses. There are no words.

It’s hard to say how many pages it has since so many fold out but without folds there are ten pages. It is a combination of color and black and white panels. The cover paper is white or ivory cover stock, the inside text weight ivory paper.

In addition to illustrating this zine, I print, trim, staple, and fold every zine myself.” - Erika Rier
