Kris in Love & Recovery #4 Zine by Kris K

$10.00

KILR4 is a quarter page size (4.5"x5.5"), 40 pages, FULL COLOR zine, printed on glossy paper, bound with staples. It contains my original poetry, personal essays, collage art, and a comic I drew. I make my zines analog style, meaning with my hands and craft supplies rather than on the computer. Then I scan in the pages. I used different craft patterned papers for this zine, along with my cut and paste collaging, as well as some tape transfers that I made.

Topics explored in this issue include: family dysfunction, CW for mention of abusive family members, loss and heartbreak, imposter syndrome as a writer, some gender thoughts, love of nature, how the pandemic affected me, chronic pain, and my 12 step recovery program, Al-Anon.” -Kris K

5.5” x 4.25”

*Consignment item. Not eligible for 10% membership discount. All consignment purchases are final and non-refundable once shipped.

Kris K (they/them) creates original analog collage artwork on the unceded lands of the Lenapehoking in Northeastern PA under the name artsnfartsnkris. Meticulously hand-cutting & pasting images sourced from periodicals and junk mail, Kris creates a colorful new story to inspire. Their work employs surrealist images, often incorporating celestial bodies and the natural world, as well as vintage pieces, creepy cut-up faces, and overall weirdness. Using just their personal experiences and paper ephemera, Kris hopes to showcase how accessible materials can be used for storytelling.
