K. Nelson Harper (aka Katie) (she/her) recently retired from the faculty of the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith where she specialized in graphic design, letterpress, and book arts. She has taught at many other design programs throughout the country in addition to doing commercial design work. Harper holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, as well as an MFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her background includes creative writing, photography, and award-winning design work in digital methods as well as in letterpress and book arts, with works represented in anthologies and public and private collections around the country. She continues her creative work in fine printing & bookmaking at her home studio, Ars Brevis Press in Arkansas.
