The Grove of Weird Shrubs Zine by Dog Eye Press

$18.00

David Tea has the uncanny ability to explore an everyday experience into a swirling hallucinatory escapade, and The Grove of Weird Shrubs is no exception. Originally self-published as an e-book in 2017, The Grove of Weird Shrubs finds Tea's character, outfitted in a psychedelic orange and purple-striped suit, wandering through a strange landscape, encountering unknowable forms and figures along the way. The book features a 2025 afterword by Tea. This is the first time his work has been printed in full color.” - Dog Eye Press

Dog Eye Press is a publishing and distribution project run by performance/visual artist Colleen Harriss (she/her) and painter Hannah Lee Hall (she/her) out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They create small-run art books with artists from the Twin Cities and beyond. With the image of a hungry dog as their guide, they seek out buried projects and salvage discarded materials.
