Let’s explore collage through Artist Trading Cards! Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are small two- dimensional works of art about the size of a playing card.
Meant to be traded but never sold, they are an opportunity for artists to share their work in a non-commercial form. With the rise in popularity of collage, ATCs are an excellent way to meet other artists, experiment, and explore a variety of techniques.
In this virtual workshop, we will start with an introduction to basic collage approaches, using examples and demonstrations. We will focus on working in batches with readily available materials, on several pieces at once, to emphasize working quickly and solving compositional puzzles in a number of ways. Sharing will be encouraged with an option to exchange cards through the mail.
Level: Beginner. All skill levels are welcome.
Certificate: 3 hours, Category B or D
