Wish a Happy Valentine's Day to your edgier pals! These cards show that the spiky, tusked, and fanged also want to be loved.
In this getting-ready-for-Valentine's Day workshop, you will use a kit of pre-cut card stock pieces and your own simple hand tools to build three pop-up structures. This virtual workshop is comfy for beginners and anyone looking to explore dimension and movement with paper-engineered structures.
Level: Beginner. All skill levels are welcome.

Materials Fee: $35*
Scholarships are available for individuals facing adversity as it relates to identity, income/wealth, and lack of access to arts resources. The Pay-It-Forward rate (tuition, plus 50%) supports MCBA’s efforts to make scholarships available. We leave it to you to choose the rate that is meaningful to you based on your income, wealth, and privilege status. MCBA members receive a 10% discount on tuition.

What you'll need to participate
Tech requirements: For this participatory virtual workshop, we recommend joining on a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone, if possible. You will receive step-by-step instructions for downloading Zoom (it’s free!) and accessing the workshop online approximately 2 days before the workshop’s start date.
Materials: You are responsible for sourcing your own materials from the materials list. You are welcome to reach out to teaching artists with questions about materials in advance of the workshop (contact information is listed on the materials list).
