Tuesdays: November 10, 17, 24; 4:30–6:30pm CT
Make one or more mixed-media artworks using paper and embroidery thread, in this virtual workshop.
Through demos and guided worktime, learn in-lays, on-lays, embroidery, and collage. Finished pieces could become a cover for a book or a one-of-a-kind artwork. Find new inspiration in materials you may already have at home by experimenting with the individual possibilities of your thread and paper and by bringing them together into visual dialogue with each other, understanding the specific qualities of line, color, shape, and texture to create new art.
Level: Beginner. Some experience with binding or sewing is helpful, but not required.
Certificate: 6 hours, Category B or D
